Flynn’s Restaurant Serves Up a Big Helping of Charity!

16 April 2007

Some stories do have happy endings.

Last week the Yungaburra Playgroup lost their not-yet-erected kitset shed worth $530 which was stored in the Tinaburra Waterski Clubrooms at Lake Tinaroo, to thieves who broke into the shed with bolt cutters.

Today, Liam Flynn, Owner of Flynn’s Restaurant in Yungaburra donated the full amount to the Yungaburra Playgroup with a cheque for the purchase of a new shed.

Mr Flynn said “I read the story in the paper last week and thought that giving a donation was the right thing to do. The playgroup is not-for-profit and like many good causes it runs on donations and fund raising, and it’s disappointing to see theft happening to these organizations.”

Some of the Playgroup parents met at Flynn’s Restaurant to enjoy a complimentary morning tea and a chat with Mr Flynn while he presented Emma Pensini with the cheque for $530.

Flynns Restaurant is open for Dinner 5 nights a week.
